The Beautiful Area of Seagrove Beach

Found right along 30A on the Emerald Coast of Florida, Seagrove Beach is a mere mile-and-a-half beach that surrounds a small cove. People are drawn here for the serenity and beauty they found there. Named for the native, windswept trees which encircle the community, Seagrove Beach will enchant you with its canopy of magnolias, oaks, sand pines, and hickory trees that have defined this area for over a century.

These days you will find newer cottages and old beach homes nestled near the glistening waters, and there are shops, restaurants, and the beautiful Port Washington State Forest nearby to explore. The hours will melt away as you find on-the-beach and off-the-beach activities to keep you busy.

Top Attractions in Seagrove Beach

For your family, it is great to have a unique place to enjoy your time together. Whether you have children or grandchildren, Seagrove Beach offers so much that will make your stay memorable every time.

Seagrove is right on 30A and most homes there are either privately tucked away under grand oak trees or overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Whether you walk or bike, one place you will not want to miss is Seagrove Village Market . This place is a true South Walton institution and it has been right there since 1949. They are consistently voted one of 30A’s must-see hot spots for all things seafood.

Be sure to check out 30A gear, where men, women, and children can shop in style with all they have to offer in the shops of Seagrove Plaza. Recycled tees, joggers, hoodies, and more will have you looking great.

For a little sophistication, you will love Cafe Thirty-A. Here you will find dinner, dessert, bar, and children’s menus. Special events and parties are always at the center of what they do. You will love their excellent food and great company, which makes for a great time for everyone.

Their trail system gives you your choice of 3.5, 5, or 10-mile loops. Hikers, bicyclists, and pets on a leash are allowed. This 15,000-acre forest is alive with natural sandhills, cypress swamps, basin swamps, wet Flatwoods and wet prairie. There is overnight camping, and you will feel like a pioneer once away from the crowd.

A short drive from Seagrove Beach in Santa Rosa Beach and you can enjoy the loveliness that is Eden Gardens State Park. This is one hundred sixty-three beautiful acres where you will discover the Wesley Homestead. This historic house is a renovated two-story house with white columns that drape the wrap-around porch. The mansion, built-in 1897, sits in the midst of what used to be virgin forests of cypress and longleaf pine.

Living or visiting in Seagrove Beach is sure to be an enchanting experience. It seems there is something new, old, or unusual around every corner. There is nothing quite like 30A.
